Medger is built with privacy at its core. This policy explains what data we collect, how we handle it, and the choices you have.
Privacy by Design
Medger is a local-first application. Your financial data — accounts, transactions, budgets, categories — is stored on your devices. We do not have access to your financial records, and we cannot read, sell, or share them.
End-to-End Encryption
When you choose to sync data between your devices, all information is encrypted end-to-end. Sync nodes relay encrypted data but never have access to its contents. Only your devices hold the decryption keys.
No Tracking of Financial Data
We do not track, analyze, or monetize your financial data. There are no ads, no data brokers, and no third-party analytics on your personal financial information.
Website
When you visit our website, we may collect basic analytics data such as page views, referral sources, and browser type. We use cookies to remember your preferences (such as theme settings). We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.
Waitlist
If you sign up for our waitlist, we collect your email address to send you product updates. We do not share your email with third parties. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Application
Medger stores your financial data locally on your device. If you enable sync, encrypted data is transmitted through relay nodes. We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics (such as app opens or feature usage) to improve the product. These statistics contain no personal or financial data.
Data Ownership
You own your data. Since Medger is local-first, your financial data never leaves your devices unless you explicitly choose to sync. You can export or delete your data at any time.
Right to Erasure
You can delete your data from your devices at any time by removing the application. If you have used sync, you can request deletion of your encrypted sync data by contacting us at hello@medger.app.
Third-Party Services
Medger may use third-party services for website analytics (such as Google Analytics) and email communication. These services have their own privacy policies. We select providers that respect user privacy and comply with applicable data protection regulations.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of Medger after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
